At Eastside Pediatric Group, we believe in a team approach to your child's health and well-being, so all of our doctors collaborate with parents to provide the highest level of care. We appreciate the opportunity to care for your child and pride ourselves on making pediatric care a pleasant experience for all of our patients.

COVID- 19 Testing

We understand the importance of accessible COVID testing. We administer rapid tests and PCR tests for patients that are experiencing symptoms. The PCR test gets sent out to the lab and has a turn around of 24-48 hours.

Well Child Visits

Routine well child check visits are important to track your child's growth and development. Immunizations have been one of the single greatest advances in preventative medicine and an essential part of well-child care.  At Eastside Pediatric Group, we follow the immunization guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics(AAP). For descriptions of these vaccines and the diseases they protect against, please visit,, or For detailed information sheets published by the Center of Disease Control(CDC), please visit or visit the AAP’s immunization page.  Immunizations

Parents often ask us what immunizations they can expect at their child's annual physical.  Click on the correct link below if you would like to review this information before your visit.

Physical Exam Form Policy
We will provide each patient with a generic NY State physical form at the end of their yearly physical.  This form is good for one year from the date of the exam and can be used for most school, sports, and camp activities. Please keep the original and make a copy of this form for your future needs.  If you require a reproduction of this form outside the day of the physical exam, there will be a fee of $5 that must be paid prior to processing your form requests. We try to complete your duplicate form requests in a timely manner, but please understand that they should be signed by the original physician who performed the physical examination. Therefore you may need to allow a 7 day turnaround time for form completion.

Sick Visits

At Eastside Pediatrics, we try hard to provide same day appointments for your sick or injured child. Consultations for medical or behavioral problems that are longstanding (greater than 2 weeks) should be scheduled in advance. Follow up appointments for chronic problems are best if made with the the same physician who originally saw your child for this problem.

If you need advice about an illness, or are unsure as to whether or not your child needs to be seen, please call and ask to speak to our triage nurse. She is available weekdays from 8:30am - 4:30pm.  After this, your calls will be answered by our answering service.

If your child is ever in a life threatening emergency situation, do not call the answering service; instead call 911 and have the ambulance take your child to the Pediatric Emergency Department at University Hospital at Upstate in Syracuse.

Hospital Care

Our primary hospital affiliations are with Crouse Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center and Golisano Children's Hospital at Upstate Medical University  in Syracuse, New York.  We attend our newborns at Crouse Hospital.  Our new babies born at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center and Community General Hospital are seen by the staff neonatologists while in the hospital and referred back to our care upon discharge.  We hold clinical faculty appointments at Golisano Children's Hospital at Upstate.  If your child should require an overnight stay at this state-of-the-art, high quality facility, you will be cared for by their team of Pediatric Hospitalists.

After Hours Emergencies

For any medical emergency when our office is closed, your child's illness or injury is best managed by Upstate Golisano Children's After Hours Care at Community General Campus or the Pediatric Emergency Department of University Hospital at Upstate.  These facilities are staffed by emergency physicians trained in pediatrics.

If your child ingested a substance that you are concerned might be toxic or poisonous, please contact the Poison Control Center at (800) 222-1222 immediately.
